A Princess First Trip to Disneyland

In M’s family it is tradition for his parents to take their grandchildren to Disneyland around their 4th birthday. M’s niece is 3.5 so Euro Disney seemed like a fantastic idea.

We woke up slowly in Strasbourg and finished up some last minute sites, Disney movies, cleaning and Kebabs. Before we all boarded a train for Paris.

We arrived at the Disneyland Santa Fe Hotel and enjoyed some Va Pianos for dinner.

During our first day at Disneyland M and I woke up early for their annual pass holders & hotel guests hours (8:00AM). We went on Space Mountain a couple times before meeting up with the rest of the family.

Since this was M’s niece’s first trip to Disneyland we decided to start her off easy with some Fantasyland rides. Dumbo, the Merry-Go-Round and Tea Cups was a great introduction she loved.

Then we decided to spoil her even more and purchased Disney’s Princess for a Day experience. She got to pick out a princess dress (and princess toy not included, thanks to grandma), got her hair and makeup done, and a nice photo.

She loved it! Possibly not as much as she loved her toy…she insisted on going back to the hotel to play with her toy. That did not happen.

We hoped over to the Walt Disney Studios Park and got in line for Ratatouille. A really well done ride only available in Disneyland Paris.

We continued going on rides for the rest of the evening. Taking a break to meet Rapunzel. Which was only made ever so precious due to M’s little niece wearing a big poofy Rapunzel dress herself.

The even concluded with even more rides and Disney’s nightly fireworks show.

Our second day started early for everyone. M’s niece was of course still in her princess dress. But it was nothing Minnie couldn’t solve.

The little one got to see Mona and the Micky Magician Show, which she fell asleep too.

Rides continued throughout the day and at 5:30 we saw their parade. All the characters turned out. Even Rapunzel! Who dashed over to say hello to the little one in a Rapunzel dress…but it wasn’t great timing. The little one was NOT a fan of Flynn. So she freaked out a bit. All very cute and heart breaking at the same time.

We rested at the hotel for a bit before going to the rainforest cafe. We enjoyed our last meal surrounded by animatronic monkeys that looked to real, snazzy drinks and delicious food.
