Prediction: Pats will prevail in the end.

After two weeks of hype and 24/7 media attention, the big game is finally upon us. The big question has been if the Eli Manning led Giants have enough in them to take down the mighty undefeated Patriots. The answer, sadly, is no. Tom Brady is just too good in the postseason to be defeated by Peyton’s younger brother. Eli has not “won” a game for the Giants this postseason. They have won with solid defense and opportune plays at the right time. Eli has played well, but he has not been a threat yet. The issue here is that Bill Belichek will force Eli to win the game - and I am not confident in him to do so. The Giants will have to put up a lot of points and would most likely have to force a big NE turnover and convert it into easy points. This is feasible, but Brady is tough, especially in the big game. I think the Giants will hang around for much of the first half, but the Patriots will move safely ahead by 10 points or so in the latter stages of the 2nd quarter. After halftime, I see it being back and forth, but never coming closer than a TD with NE pulling way ahead late. My prediction? NE 34 NYG 17. It all comes down to the dominance of the AFC conference and the inability of the ragged NFC to make a stand against perfection. Better luck next year Eli.
