Sorry for being a few days late on this - been extremely busy! Anyways, I recently wrote a post on Project Lifeline and the housing crisis. Many people took the risk of using an ARM for their mortgage and paid…big time. When trying to decide between whether a risk is worth taking, one must look at the entire picture and the decision oftentimes boils down to the simplest of things: common sense. Risk is a sexy word. Project lifeline was announced today to give homeowners facing foreclosure 30 extra days to resolve their ordeal with their lender in an attempt to prevent the number of foreclosures from piling up to higher totals. Disturbing ads aim to trick parents into lie!

As I was perusing Star Magazine (classy, I know) , I came across an ad that deeply disturbed me. It was a simple photo: a child choosing between a plate of four bagel bites and a plate with a whole wheat PB&J sandwich. The caption underneath the image states the bagel bites are a better food choice because it has less fat and calories. I have more than one issue with this well-crafted lie. (more…)

The Pittsburgh Penguins currently have 67 points and are in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. They have also played their last 9 games without reigning NHL MVP Sidney Crosby. Crosby, widely regarded as the best player in the NHL, has missed the past few weeks with a high ankle injury.
